Florence Cathedral

The dazzling Duomo is the largest and most important church in Florence. Enjoy quick access and take a guided tour of the dome in English. See amazing architecture, 600-year-old stained glass windows and learn about the history of this beautiful cathedral. You will have to climb almost 500 steps to reach the famous dome, but the frescoes of the Last Judgment of Giorgio Vasari (1572-9) along the way will make it worthwhile.

Walk the narrow corridors, some less than a meter wide. See the giant giants, as well as the central part of the cathedral from 40 meters high. After the tour, take your time to explore the rest of the cathedral at your own pace. You will have 72 hours to do it, so if the Duomo has left you exhausted, come back another day. See the Crypt, the Baptistery, the bell tower of Giotto and the Museo dell'Opera, and be impressed by the architecture of artists such as Arnolfo di Cambio, Giotto and Brunelleschi. Marvel at the imposing ornamentation, from the Paolo Uccello Funeral Monument to the 600-year-old stained glass windows created by artists such as Donatello, Ghiberti and Andrea del Castagno.
