Enjoy a trip around the world and back in time, through thousands of pieces of incalculable value. The Metropolitan Museum of Art is the largest art museum in the United States. It is also one of the best in the world, like the Louvre, Uffizi and the Prado. With this electronic ticket you can skip the queue of all exhibitions of the three MET locations. The highlights include the European Painting area with works by El Greco, Rembrandt, Rafael, Van Gogh, and many more. The Period Rooms is another must-see, with originals or carefully recreated examples of interior design from all eras. There is a large luxury living room of Louis XIV, an old Roman room buried by the eruption of Vesuvius, accessories of colonial American homes and more.
The Egyptian collection is another key point that comprises all ages. Miniature statues, examples of mummies, and even a temple to the goddess Isis. NOTICE: The MET's main location is on Fifth Avenue. The nearby (10 minute walk) MET Breuer focuses on the art of the 20th and 21st centuries. The MET Cloisters is further away - on the heights of Washington Fort Tryon Park. European medieval art is exhibited in religious buildings transported here piece by piece from Europe.
